I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve been selected as one of five recipients of Monkeypaw Productions’ No Drama Initiative!
Courtesy of a $50,000 grant from Universal, I’ll be directing and producing a short film I wrote, which delves into the theme of absent fatherhood through a genre-centric lens. This film will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2025.
I can’t wait to bring this story to life and share it with you all—stay tuned for updates!
Churchy Season 2 Premieres This June on BET & BET+
The holy chaos continues. Churchy is back for Season 2 this June on BET and BET+, bringing more laughs, mishaps, and moments of unexpected grace as Pastor Corey Carr Jr. tries to grow his fledgling ministry in small-town Texas.
Starring Kevin Fredericks (KevOnStage) as Pastor Corey, the series features returning cast members Mark J.P. Hood, Tahir Moore, Quin Walters, Lexi Allen, Anthony Elfoniza, and Nic Few.
Produced by BET, SpringHill (founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter), and KevOnStage Studios, Churchy continues to deliver faith-infused comedy with sharp writing and big heart. Season 2 was written by Richard A. Washington and David Murphy, and features standout guest appearances from Kirk Franklin, Tony Baker, Corey Calliet, Affion Crockett, and more.
I was fortunate to direct all 10 episodes of this season, packed with hilarious and heartfelt episodes—along with a few surprises.
